Booking information

Please complete our booking form and return it with a deposit of one third of the full price (e.g. for course fee of £164, deposit is £55). Until we receive your deposit, all bookings are treated as provisional and will be held for 7 days. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. The balance is due one month before the workshop begins, and is non-returnable if you have to cancel.

Alternatively, you can make a provisional booking for an event here and now by following the Events link; the 'details' page for each event has a 'Book' button which will display a booking form. When you have filled in the form click the 'Print' button. This will display the form in a printer friendly format and, if your browser supports it, print it automatically. If the form doesn't print automatically please click on your browser's 'Print' button. Once your form has printed successfully click the 'OK' button to move on to the confirmation page. When you click 'OK' your booking is automatically e-mailed to us. We will then hold your place(s) for four days to allow time for your printed form and deposit to reach us.

Making payments

Unfortunately we cannot take credit card payments at present. Cheques or postal orders should be made payable to Monkton Wyld Court. If you are booking from abroad and wish to arrange a bank transfer, please contact us for details.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in shared rooms of 2-6 beds. We have a limited number of twin rooms that can be booked for single occupancy and this is subject to a single room supplement of £12.50 per night. These are available on a first come first served basis. Sheets are provided but please bring a towel. We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.

Non-residential bookings

All courses can be attended on a non-residential basis. Non-residents are charged two thirds of the full fee, which covers the cost of the course, lunch and dinner but not accommodation or breakfast.

Hours

Arrival time is between 4pm and 6pm on the first day, and we ask you to leave by 4pm on the last day. Usually the first workshop session starts at 7.30-8pm.

Late arrivals and absences

We regret that reductions or reimbursements cannot be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or absence during any part of the course.

Dinner is served at 6pm prompt. If you are going to be late, please contact us as soon as possible. We can normally save dinner for you up to 8pm. Guests are asked to arrive no later than 9pm as we do not have staff that are on duty beyond that time.

Meals

We provide a serve-yourself breakfast, lunch at 1pm and supper at 6pm. All food is vegetarian and mainly organically grown. We can cater for vegan diets and food allergies with advance notice, but we cannot accommodate individual dietary preferences.

Balance of fees

We will send you a confirmation of booking on receipt of your deposit. Balance of fees is due one month before the start of the course. If the balance is not received by then, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, in which case normal cancellation terms will apply. Please notify us if you anticipate late payment.

Concessions

Funding permitting, concessions of up to one third of the full fee are available for those on low incomes such as those in receipt of Housing Benefit, Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support or Tax Credits. Please note that evidence of status will be required on application. All applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence. If you are unsure of whether you are eligible, please contact us.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation is effective from the date of receiving written notification. If cancellation is made less than one month prior to the start of the course, whether deliberately or by default, then the balance of fees is due in full. This condition is accepted when booking is confirmed.

Monkton Wyld Court reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course or change a course leader in the event of illness or for any other reason. We will refund or transfer any deposits or balances paid in accordance with the wishes of the client. The decision to cancel will normally be taken no less than 1 week prior to the course start date.

Course details

Course details will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks before the start of the course.

Acceptance

Monkton Wyld Court reserves the right to refuse a booking without stating a reason.
