About Monkton
Monkton Wyld Court is a holistic education centre offering residential and non-residential courses in environmental sustainability and low impact living. There are Family Weeks for families with children, and courses for home educators. There is a popular Kindergarten for younger children, and an extensive volunteer programme.
Monkton Wyld is run by a resident community who aim to run the centre in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We also have an extensive volunteer programme. About Volunteering.
Monkton Wyld is ideally situated just 3 miles from West Dorset's stunning Jurassic coast. The main building is Victorian neo-Gothic rectory set in 11 acres of grounds, pasture and woodland.
We can accommodate up to 35 visitors in our 2 - 6 bedded rooms. The group rooms and communal areas are heated by wood-burning stoves, have period features and wonderful views. There is a beautiful sitting room with a grand piano, a healing room, dance hall / theatre space, a well stocked library, terraced gardens and facilities for arts and crafts.
The food at Monkton Wyld is vegetarian and fully organic, produced by our farm and garden or locally sourced wherever possible. We also use Fairtrade products.
